We are committed to the continuous improvement of our business
practices and ensuring they are fair and consistent with the core
values of:
-
Innovation – to develop ways to do things better, at lower
cost, or both
-
Transparency – to be open and straightforward
-
Quality – to pursue excellence and promote loyalty
-
Sustainability – to stand the test of time
All employees are charged with fulfilling these values and with
upholding the ethical principles that underpin them. Along with
good management, this commitment is crucial in maintaining and
developing strong bonds with all of our stakeholders.

“Corporate responsibility begins with the way in
which we conduct our core business, not just in doing good things
outside it. It is about the quality and integrity of our products
and services, about how we treat our customers, our associates, our
staff and each other, as well as behaving responsibly towards the
wider society and environment." Allan Cook, Chairman, Finmeccanica

Corporate Responsibility Strategy
Finmeccanica’s corporate
responsibility strategy in the UK is built on six key pillars of
ethics; health and safety; environment and sustainability;
community and social issues; skills and people and innovation.
- Strong ethics are fundamental to how Finmeccanica
engages in business and we promote a culture of principled
behaviour. All UK operating companies have adopted Finmeccanica’s
group-wide Code of Ethics that sets out the responsibilities and
obligations that all employees must uphold
- Health and
safety is equally important and integral to our business
culture. We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of
safety in every aspect of our operations and safeguarding the
health and wellbeing of employees across the group
- Finmeccanica strives constantly to
reduce its impact on the environment and all operating companies
follow a group-wide environmental and
sustainability policy that is based on operational best
practice and continuous improvement
- In the UK, Finmeccanica builds
strong relationships with local communities
and supports a wide range of social initiatives, from charity
fundraising to raising awareness of engineering in local
education
- Finmeccanica recruits the very best
people and helps them to develop the
skills they need to perform to their full potential
- Innovation
is one of Finmeccanica’s core values and lies at the heart of all
its activities. The group recognises that it is only through
constant innovation that it can stay competitive in the markets in
which it operates

"Finmeccanica in the UK is committed to
maintaining the highest standards in its relations with customers,
employees, suppliers and with the broader communities in which it
operates. We cannot and do not operate in a vacuum. Our success is
very much dependent on how we contribute to the well-being and
development of our people and all our stakeholders. As a major UK
engineering and manufacturing group, we at Finmeccanica are
committed to a socially responsible, ethically alert and
environmentally conscious agenda, as an integral part of our
business model." Alberto
