Finmeccanica - Selex ES wins prestigious manufacturing education award in the UK

In October 2014, Finmeccanica - Selex ES was presented with the ERA Foundation Award for Partnership with Education at the 2014 Manufacturing Excellence Awards. Organised by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Manufacturing Excellence programme is internationally recognised and widely respected within engineering communities.

The Partnership with Education Award recognised our commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers and in particular pays respect to the activities that employees here undertake, such as school, college and university visits, our extremely well established placement programmes and the Big Bang fair.

Selex ES was also recognised for its excellence in supplier relationships by being named 'Overall Winner' and winning the 'Best Supplier Relationship Management' at the 2014 CIPS Supply Management Awards – the most prestigious recognition a company or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive.
