National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9-13 March 2015, aiming to raise the profile of apprenticeships and celebrating the important role they have in equipping people of all ages with the skills that they need to prosper in their lives.

Employers, apprentices, business support organisations, learning providers, colleges and schools across the UK will be supporting the Week by hosting activities to showcase the achievements and benefits of apprenticeships. Co-ordinated by the Skills Funding Agency, the week will include hundreds of events and activities across England.

As a large employer of engineering apprentices in the UK – with around 400 graduates and apprentices in training at different facilities across the country – we are proud to continue our association with National Apprenticeship Week. Finmeccanica – Selex ES will be playing an active role throughout the week in support support of this important initiative. This includes engaging with students through apprenticeship days in local schools, running STEM activities, and manning a stand in a large shopping centre.
