Finmeccanica certified as a Britain’s Top Employer 2012
23 March 2012 – Finmeccanica in the UK has been
named one of Britain’s Top Employers for 2012. Independent research
conducted by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute,
found that Finmeccanica’s employees benefit from outstanding human
resource policies.
The organisations examined were assessed
against the following criteria: Primary and Secondary Benefits and
Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development,
and Company Culture. Only those organisations that met the
stringent criteria received the Top Employers certification.
Finmeccanica received an exceptionally high score in the area of
Training and Development.
“Our leading position in the UK as a
world-class advanced engineering company is very much dependent on
how we contribute to the well-being of our employees. Finmeccanica
offers its people excellent working conditions together with
integrated development and education opportunities, strong
attention to employee wellbeing, and international career
opportunities”, said Martin Flavell, Vice President, HR,
Finmeccanica UK.
Finmeccanica’s commitment to providing
exceptional employment opportunities and high quality working
environments is also demonstrated through other awards it has
received, including the “Outstanding” rating of its apprenticeship
programme by OFSTED and the numerous awards it has received for its
pension schemes, such as the Professional Pensions award for
“Pension Scheme of the Year”.
The CRF Institute is a specialist in the field
of international research into HR management and working
conditions, has just completed this year’s research into the HR
practices and employee offerings of a large number of employers in
the UK.
Eleanor Nickerson, Country Manager, and
Britain’s Top Employers: “This year we’re proud to certify our
strongest group of Top Employers to date. Increasingly we’re seeing
creative and intelligent HR practices and employee offerings that
ensure the working experience is positive, and that employee groups
get what they want from their employment. We’re seeing a heavy
emphasis on flexible benefits, on segmented employee offerings and
on career development that ensures employee growth and good
