Summary

An experienced JAVA Software Engineer (minimum 5 years’ commercial experience) looking for an exciting career in the development of space-related applications and services. Experience of C++ would also be desirable.

 

Objective

To join our experienced software team developing new web based applications and services within the space domain. Opportunities exist to be involved in all of the key software lifecycle aspects: requirements, design, development and test.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

Primary duty will be the development of JAVA software for web based applications and services on the JEE platform. The developer will be responsible for:

  • Software design to implement the features / requirements compatible with the application and platform architecture.
  • Implementation of the software source code
  • Unit testing of the software
  • Delivering the above to agreed timescales and quality

 

Additional responsibilities and duties dependant on project may include:

  • User requirement analysis
  • Architectural Design
  • Integration Testing
  • Acceptance Testing

 

Qualifications / Experience

Degree qualified (relevant degree with Software Engineering modules, or equivalent experience). Ideally the candidate will have at least 5 years commercial experience of JAVA development. C++ experience would also be desirable.

 

BS clearance essential. SC clearance preferable.
