National Apprenticeship Week 2016

National Apprenticeship Week ran from 14-18 March 2016 and aimed to raise the profile of Apprenticeships and celebrate the important role they have in equipping people of all ages with the skills that they need to prosper in their lives.

Employers, apprentices, business support organisations, learning providers, colleges and schools across the UK supported the Week by hosting activities to showcase the achievements and benefits of apprenticeships. Co-ordinated by the Skills Funding Agency, the week included hundreds of events and activities across England.

As a large employer of engineering apprentices in the UK – with around 400 graduates and apprentices in training at different facilities across the country – we are proud to continue our association with National Apprenticeship Week. Finmeccanica played an active role throughout the week in support of this important initiative. This included engaging with students through apprenticeship days in local schools and running STEM activities.
