Sir Kevin Tebbit to change role at Finmeccanica

London, 1 August 2012 – Finmeccanica UK has announced that Sir Kevin Tebbit will be changing roles within the Group. He is stepping down as Chairman of Finmeccanica UK Ltd, following the completion of his five year term of office. He will continue to serve Finmeccanica on boards of its UK operating companies, with particular focus on export promotion.

Sir Kevin said: ”I leave this role with the immense satisfaction that Finmeccanica has established itself as a leading, trusted, supplier to the Ministry of Defence, an integral part of the UK’s advanced manufacturing and technology base, and a major contributor to exports, growth and employment. I look forward to continuing to promote the success of the company and its superb workforce, notably in the drive for exports.”

Giuseppe Orsi, Chairman and CEO of Finmeccanica Group, said: “This has been an important and successful five years for Finmeccanica in the UK. I should like to extend our great thanks to Sir Kevin for his activity on behalf of the company, and welcome his continued engagement.”

The Board of Finmeccanica has approved the appointment of Allan Cook as non-executive Chairman of Finmeccanica UK Ltd, who will work alongside the Chief Executive, Alberto de Benedictis.
