Job Description
This role is for a Systems Engineer to carry out system design,
specification, implementation, Integration, test and acceptance
aspects of military IP communication networks.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Presentation and negotiation of design aspects with Customers
both internal and
- external
- Specification of system functionality and performance
- Responsible for the design and configuration of aspects of IT
networks (e.g. LAN,
- Firewall and Windows Domain)
- Work with suppliers on specification and procurement of key
COTS technology
- Responsible for “hands-on” integration of equipments
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
- Degree qualified in an applicable subject.
- A working knowledge and experience of naval comms and naval
platforms desirable
- Experience with Ethernet based data networks is desirable.
- Experience of Systems Engineering Processes
- System design of IT systems
- Engineering process from system engineering design through to
delivery (inc documentation at each stage)
