VEGA focuses on most significant cyber threats facing the
UK

Cyber Solutions, VEGA Consulting Services Ltd (VEGA), is this week
contributing to a seminar hosted by Collins Stewart Hawkpoint
Technology Group which highlights the challenges of the
cyber-threat to an invited audience from the UK financial
community.
The seminar, entitled: ‘Cyber security:
scaremongering or the next arms race?’ brings together leading UK
experts in the area of Cyber Security and those representing
investors and financial institutions.
The seminar will cover topics including:
- What is the best way to play the cyber
sector: hardware, software or service consolidator or
consolidatee?
- Can local solutions to a global problem
succeed?
- Governments have been toothless – will
legislation have any impact?
- Is it a matter of time before there is a
major industrial disaster as a result of cyber-terrorism?
- What are the implications for industrial
companies?
In his role as Finmeccanica Cyber Solutions
Director, Paul MacGregor (VEGA Managing Director) will be speaking
at the seminar on the topic of ‘Reclaiming security control in
Cyber Space’. As organisations around the globe grapple to
understand the full implications that a successful cyber-attack may
have on their future business, Paul will be highlighting the
pervasive nature of the threats, while at the same time suggesting
that responses to such threats are available to those ready to
evolve.
