SELEX Communications exhibits Talon Lite satellite terminal at Global MilSatCom 2010

London, 8th November 2010 - SELEX Communications, a Finmeccanica company, will be exhibiting its Talon Lite terminal at the Global Military Satellite Communications (Global MilSatCom) conference, London, between 8-10 November 2010.

Talon Lite is a state-of-the-art, 1-metre multi-band terminal, which is reliable, lightweight and robust. As a highly tactical terminal, it provides substantial, high bandwidth capability for serial or IP traffic.

The terminal can be assembled by a single operator in less than five minutes, without tools. A single button press initiates satellite acquisition and a further button press starts data transmission. Ten minutes system familiarity is all that is required to operate the system. The Talon Lite terminal operates worldwide from domestic mains outlets.

Talon Lite is transported in a pair of IATA-compliant aluminium suitcases containing all the components and cables required to set up and operate the terminal. It sets new standards in lightweight flyaway terminals, providing a truly versatile solution for voice, video, or data as serial or IP traffic.
